Desperate Measures aka prequel to "convincing" aka Harold the homeless man's origin story
It was Sunday morning just as Harold the homeless man was waking up. He was in a train car sleeping on the floor. Nobody knew where he was and nobody cared. Harold had no family or friends to love or be loved by. He just drifted from place to place whenever he felt like it. One day he arrived in the city where he decided to stay a while. Lorain Ohio was he decided to stay. He had decided to stay here because he once knew a dog from Lorain named Redd. He always spoke highly of Lorain so Harold decided to see what it was like. Harold found a three and a half star alley way to stay in for his time in Lorain. After about two days in Lorain Harold decided to walk around and sight see for a while. He spotted a factory that he thought was interesting looking so he walked around it but behind it was something he would have never expected. It was a group of terrorists arming a pack of polar bears with bombs that had lasers on them that were made from gold. Harold returned to his alley until later that night when he went back to investigate again. The terrorists had left but the pack of polar bears with bombs that had lasers on them that were made from gold were still there but they were not moving oddly. He went over to them and touched one but the hair or fur (whichever it is) did not feel right. Harold was a polar bear expert so he knew what their hair/fur was supposed to feel like and these polar bears had something about them that made him suspicious. He pulled the polar bears face off and found out that these were not a pack of polar bears with bombs that had lasers on them that were made from gold but they were a pack of robot polar bears with bombs that had lasers on them that were made from gold. Harold also discovered that all of the robot polar bears with bombs that had lasers on them that were made from gold had collars on them that had a timer on them that was counting down. The timer only had one hour left on it so he knew that he had to hurry. He left the factory in search of help he did not have to look for long. He spotted someone Harold went to him and explained the dire situation the citizen believed him and offered his help. Harold and the citizen returned to the factory to destroy the pack of robot polar bears with bombs that had lasers on them that were made from gold somehow. Luckily the terrorists had some left over lasers sitting around. Harold and the citizen picked up the lasers and ANNIHILATED the pack of robot polar bears with bombs that had lasers on them that were made from gold. After the mission was complete the duo formally introduced themselves. Harold told the citizen that his name was Harold the homeless man and the citizen told Harold that his name was Quintin. After the incident Harold decided to stay in Lorain and Harold and Quintin became friends. Happily ever after. Until the next time...

convincing
One time I had to convince someone of something was when the world ended in 2012. I was the only one who knew what would happen and I knew what I had to do. I had to warn people so that I would not be the only person who would survive but I also knew that it would be hard to convince people of what was going to happen. So I had to act as sane as possible while trying to warn as many people as possible. So I ran down the middle of the street yelling "The end is coming! The end is coming!" For some reason though no one seemed to pay attention. The would just swerve around me, beep, and say something mean. Until I heard some one calling for me from down an alley so I turned to investigate. It turned out to be Harold the homeless man. He wanted to know what I was yelling about so I explained it to him. He believed me but it took some convincing. To convince him of what was going to happen I had to give him all of the change I had in my pockets. After that he knew what we had to do. He told me that we had to dig a hole to hide in when the Earth exploded so that we would be safe. Although we did not have any shovels Harold did have some extra cans that we could use for digging. According to the prophecy the Earth would explode at exactly 10:19 p.m. We had less than a half hour to complete the hole. We finished the hole with just minutes to spare. We got in and waited. Once it reached 10:19 nothing happened but we waited just a few more minutes just in case. After a few minutes we got out, looked around, and were surprised to see that... The Earth did not explode since the Earth was still whole we went our separate ways and forgot about the whole thing. Until the next time...
